New Fire Station

On January 27, 2003 we moved into our new station at 47 Bombardier Road. This is a 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility, which was completed on time, and within budget. It is home to 8 pieces of apparatus, 2 boats and a hazardous materials (HAZMATA) trailer. We are very proud of this facility and thankful for the support of the Fire Station Project.

Merge

On June 30, 2003 an era in our Fire Department history ended with the merging of the Village and Town governments. For the last 66 years the Village government operated the Fire Department with financial support from the Town. This transition has been very smooth and has enabled the Department to work more closely with all the other Town Departments to make this community a safer place for all to live.

The Department responds to approximately 240 calls per year. In addition to fire calls, the Department also responds to HAZMAT incidents, water rescue and basic vehicle extrication calls.

More Information

The Department meets on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. at the Fire Station. The first Monday of each month is a business meeting and the second and third Mondays are training sessions.
